Come one, come all to the TransCare Scone Seniors Expo!
To celebrate the 2018 Seniors Festival we would like to offer the community the opportunity to find out about different services and groups available in the Scone and Upper Hunter community. Vendors will be set up with a range of information about what they do ready to have a chat.
This event is not just for seniors, we would like to encourage anyone with family or friends who may require assistance to come along and join in with the day. Take the time to learn what is out there now, before you find yourself in desperate need.
Vendor bookings are still coming in, and we would love to hear from anyone who may be interested in having a table at the event. Please contact Jemma on 0409 780 650 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
The TransCare Scone Seniors Expo will be at the Scone Bowling Club on Gundy Road from 10am to 1pm on Thursday April 12. Entry is free.
TransCare Scone Seniors Expo
TransCare is excited to offer yet another opportunity for the community and local services to meet at our 2018 TransCare Seniors Expo in Scone.
As part of our 2017 Seniors Festival activities, we ran our inaugural Seniors Expo at the Scone Bowling Club. There were 21 vendors who attended and we had around 80 patrons thanks to combining the Expo with our Wheels to Meals social lunch, which we will do again this year.
Due to a positive response from all involved, we are looking forward to building the event as part of our local 2018 Seniors Festival celebrations.
TransCare is a not for profit organisation established in 2008 and based in Scone. We provide community services to people in the Upper Hunter and Muswellbrook Shires including transport, in-home assistance, Meals on Wheels, social support, home maintenance and social events.
While many of our services are aimed at the aged, or people with a disability, we also provide services to everyone in the wider community such as cleaning, bus hire, shopping transport and social activities.
TransCare is governed by a board of directors and administered by dedicated employees who are appropriately trained in community care. We also have the support of a great team of domestic staff, bus drivers and of course, our wonderful volunteers.
