NDIS and Home Care Packages

Posted in ,

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way of providing individualised support for people with disability, their families and carers. The NDIS provides eligible people a flexible, whole-of-life approach to the support needed to pursue their goals and aspirations and participate in daily life.

TransCare is currently in the process of becoming a NDIS provider. We are completing the registration and accreditation procedures that is required by the government and we hope to be able to provide NDIS services in the near future.AGM 2016

The Home Care Packages Program provides older people who want to stay at home with access to a range of ongoing personal services, support services and clinical care that help them with their day-to-day activities. The program is part of the Australian Government’s continuum of care for older people in Australia, providing services between the Commonwealth Home Support Program and residential aged care.

TransCare is currently in the process of becoming a package provider of level 1 and 2 packages.

TransCare currently provides all services under the Commonwealth Home Support Program and if you are a current TransCare client or you would like to become a client there is no need to transition over to a package from any provider until you are ready to do so. We can provide your domestics, personal care, social support, meals on wheels and transport as we have always done. So if you need any information on any of these services please contact us with any questions.

If you would like any further information, or to discuss with our team how we may be able to help you into the future, please don't hesitate to call our office on (02) 6545 3113.
